Have you ever tried to launch a control panel applet for a user, only to find that the control panel is disabled or hidden by group policy? Or ever tried to launch the registry editor as a normal user, only to find it’s locked down (rightly so!) to administrative users only?
When this is the case, we can pop open a command prompt using our administrator credentials and launch these shortcuts from the command line instead!
